A HOST of Birmingham City Ladies players showed off their skills and entertained shoppers on a recent visit to Resorts World in Birmingham.

First team stars Kerys Harrop, Aoife Mannion, Chloe Peplow, Sian Johnson, Coral Haines and Mel Lawley showcased their skills skills to promote their upcoming clash against Chelsea Ladies.

Shoppers were able to meet the FA Women’s Super League stars as well as receive a demonstration from Global Freestyle’s Danny McGhee, whose trickery and flair wowed spectators throughout the day.

The event hosted jointly with charity Love Brum highlighted the great work they do to support local charities and shine a light on hidden projects in the city.

“The visit to Resorts World Birmingham was a huge success for both Birmingham City Ladies Football Club and Love Brum,” said Blues Ladies Chief Executive and Chair of Love Brum Tim Andrews.

“Love Brum aims to make Birmingham a better city to live and work by showcasing and helping hidden gem projects and charities.

“It also promotes the city in general by promoting good things that are happening in and around the city.

“Love Brum were proud to partner with Blues Ladies on the event, especially as the Club are doing some fantastic work in the city.

“They are currently ranked 14th by FIFA in Europe and are sitting in fourth in the FA Women’s Super League table.

“The Club also provides a great pathway to girls with ambition to play professional football, which is recognised by The FA as one of the top programmes in the country and this is all happening in our city right now.”

Blues Ladies next home fixture is next Sunday when they host Women’s Super League title holders Chelsea at the home of Solihull Moors (kick off 3.15pm).
