BIRMINGHAM Barbarians put in their best display of the season to record a comprehensive 59-5 demolition of Cannock in a Merit Table clash at Moor Lane in Perry Barr.

The hosts dominated proceedings from the start with the first of their nine tries coming early on as Tom Daley touched down on three minutes.

Dennis Suter, Lee Ebanks and Billy Price added to Cannock’s misery with additional first half tries to make it 24-0 at the break.

Price added his second try on 45 minutes with the Voice brothers continuing their good form with a try apiece before Brian Palfrey rounded off the victory with a well worked try on 75 minutes.

Fly half Kirk McWee put in an outstanding shift with one try and seven conversions to give him a personal points haul of 19.

Barbarians chairman Dave Harman commented: “This was our best display of the year but there’s more to come from this young, exciting team.”
