A GROUP of Visual Arts students have put down their paint brushes and sewing machines and picked up an award from the Arden Decorative and Fine Arts Society (Arden DFAS).
The arts and crafts students rolled up their sleeves and raised the bar at this year’s art exhibition – putting up show stopping material.
BTEC Art and Design student, Lauren Henry took the top spot and received first prize for her fine art paintings.
Fellow artist, Sadia Sultana came runner up for her technical textile artwork.
Curriculum Leader for Creative Arts, Tjark Schoenfeld said: “The standard of the artwork produced this year was very high and chosing winners for these awards was not easy.
“The College’s association with the Arden Decorative & Fine Arts Society stretches back for the last ten years and it’s great to have their continued support.”
