A HIGH-END restaurant in Solihull has been awarded its first-ever Michelin star in the Michelin Guide 2017.

Peel’s restaurant, situated in the dining room at Hampton Manor Hotel, has finally received the highest accolade it has been working towards for a long time.

During the inspection, critics who sang praises for the restaurant, said: “Modern dishes come from a confident kitchen and feature refined, original combinations with some playful elements – and service is pitched perfectly.

“Elegant dining room situated within an impressive manor house and features beautiful plasterwork, oak panelling and hand-painted Chinoiserie wallpaper.”

Since the restaurant received the award, customers have shared a number of their experiences on Facebook. One user said, “I can confidently say it was the nicest meal I have ever had and not only the location and staff are first class.” Whilst another highly impressed with the restaurant posted: “Ever since my husband and I starting dining at the Peels Restaurant we have said it should have a Michelin star.”
