WITH THE advent of HS2 looming ever closer, residents living close to the the proposed line are being invited to a series of Q and A events.

Staff from HS2 Ltd are holding a series of community information events to give local people the opportunity to speak to experts working on the project.

Employees from across the company – including engineering, environmental and property specialists – will be on hand to talk about how the project is progressing and answer questions as part of an ongoing programme of information sharing.

Simon Kirby, HS2 CEO, said that while he believed the new high speed rail network would bring ‘significant benefits’, he understood it would affect peoples’ lives.

He added: “We want to talk to local communities directly about the proposals and these events are a chance to do so.

“Our specialists will be on hand to help and I would encourage people to come along if they can
