A SANTA dash in aid of a good claus will be held by members of the Balsall Common Run Club.

The big event will take place on Sunday (December 20) from 10am as part of the group’s second annual charity Santa Dash in aid of The Lily Mae Foundation which supports parents and families after a stillbirth or neonatal death.

Simon Burt The Estate Agent has also agreed to sponsor the event and match the money raised.

The group will be collecting donations as they dash around the village and will also be hosting a post-event at The Lant Sports and Community Centre, on Meeting House Lane, from 11am.

Everyone has been invited to enjoy hot drinks, cakes, sweets and other refreshments as well as a charity raffle draw.

Paul Yeoman, who chairs the club, said it was a festive family event where club members and their families and friends could join together to keep fit and have fun whilst raising money for charity.

“After the success of last year’s event we are hoping that this year’s event will be even bigger and better.

“We are an inclusive club which welcomes and supports runners of all levels and this event is the perfect occasion for us to join together with the community to raise funds for a fantastic local charity whilst really getting into the Christmas spirit.”
