Police hunt men following Hall Green armed robbery

POLICE are appealing for information following a terrifying armed robbery at The Baldwin Pub which took place over the August bank holiday weekend – leaving a young female member of staff injured.

Four men arrived at the Hungry Horse pub, on Baldwin Lane, Hall Green on August 30 at 1am.

Two of the men forced their way into pub shortly after closing time and made their way towards the till.

A 20-year-old woman was held at knife point and glass bottles were repeatedly thrown at her – leaving her with a cut face.

The men raided the till before making a quick get-a-way with a small sum of cash.

Detective Constable, Tom Lyons said: “This violent behaviour is completely unacceptable and must have been terrifying for the staff concerned.

“It is a cowardly act, for two men with weapons to attack an unarmed woman at her work place for a small amount of change.

“I urge anyone with information to contact the police at the earliest possible opportunity.”

Officers are appealing to anyone with information to come forward and contact Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111
