New Road closed for funeral of 'much loved' Christopher Clarke

NEW ROAD in Solihull town centre will remain closed for the funeral of ‘much loved’ biker Christopher Clarke, who lost his life on Sunday (March 20).

Bikers have paraded down the street in Solihull town centre to remember Mr Clarke who lost his life when he collided with a Toyota Auris on the A452 Collector Road in Castle Bromwich.

The road will be closed at the junction of Warwick Road up to Widney Manor until 1pm.

A statement from Solihull Police reads: “We are currently in attendance at a large scale funeral that is taking place in the Solihull area today.




“The funeral is for Christopher Clarke who was killed on the A452 Collector Road in Birmingham on Sunday (March 20).

“There will be some traffic disruption during this operation due to the number of vehicles in attendance.


“Any traffic offences will be dealt with and thoroughly investigated and anyone found to be breaking the law will face prosecution.”
