MACMILLAN Cancer Support are taking to the road to encourage people to start talking about cancer.
The charity’s mobile service – with specialists on-board to answer questions about cancer – will be on the road from September 27 until September 30 – including stop-offs at Mell Square on September 27 and Asda Chelmsley Wood on September 28.
The Macmillan team is encouraging residents with concerns about cancer to drop in for free and confidential support and advice.
Macmillan Information and Support Specialist, Joe Bates said: “It’s really important that people living with cancer are able to access the financial information and support they are entitled to, so they can focus on what’s most important: their health.
“Whether you want to know what symptoms to look out for, need information about managing the side effects of your treatment, or want to find local support for carers, come along and see us – we’d be happy to help.”
