FOUR people escaped serious injury following a three car collision on the M42 motorway in Solihull.
The smash took place on the M42 southbound between junction 6 and 5 shortly before 6pm on Wednesday (January 21).
The car collision damaged all three cars and debris was strewn across the carriageway.
Three of the four patients escaped with minor injuries and did not require hospital treatment and the fourth, a man, suffered neck and shoulder pain in the collision.
The fire service removed the roof of the car before he was taken to Heartlands Hospital for further assessment.
