LOOK: Solihull residents share their pictures of Saturday's blood supermoon

SOLIHULL was blessed with clear skies as residents looked up to witness a lunar phenomenon.

In the early hours of Monday, September 28 a ‘Blood Supermoon’ – the rare combination of a lunar eclipse and harvest moon – saw a red ‘blood moon’ command our skies.

The Observer asked for readers to send in their pictures of the phenomenon over the borough and was not disappointed.

Among the best were snaps sent in by 15-year old Alderbrook School pupil, Raymond Lee, and 49-year-old Olton resident, Nav Kukadia.

The Observer always welcomes your pictures of the borough – whether that be Shirley in the snow or you and your family enjoying Sunday in Bruton park. Send your pictures to [email protected] or share them with us on Twitter – @solihullobserve – and via the Solihull Observer Facebook page.
