AS TEMPERATURES continue to rise, residents at the National Sea Life Centre in Birmingham are making the most of the ‘ot weather.
Asian short clawed otters Mango and Starsky have been tucking into frozen fish lollipops in a bid to keep cool.
The duo, who originate from the mangrove swamps and wetlands of Asia, were presented with the tasty treats by staff at the centre as temperatures rose to around 30°C.
As a result of habitat loss and pollution, oriental short clawed otter are considered ‘vulnerable’ by the IUCN Red List of Threatened Species.
