ORGANISERS of the Balsall Common Fun Run have paid tribute to everyone who took part and helped make the event such a success.
The event, now in its second year, is organised by Ryan and Amy Jackson and raises money for the charity they set up in memory of their daughter Lily Mae Jackson who was stillborn – the Lily Mae Foundation – which offers support for parents of stillborn children.
Amy and Ryan said: “Following on from the success of the Fun Run in 2015, the Trustees of the Foundation, who are all volunteers, put in an enormous amount of time and hard work to make the Fun Run the best yet.
“The feedback that we have received from the runners, marshals and spectators, who lined the route or watched at the start and finish line at the Heart of England School, has been exceptionally positive. We have already been asked for the date for next year’s Run.”
They also thanked the support of the event’s sponsore, without whom it would not be possible.
