A BUDDING Solihull film reporter was given the chance to interview the renowned Kung Fu Panda legend Jack Black.

Megan Ashman, a year eight student at Lyndon School, won a competition to quiz and even sing to the star of the new hit film – Kung Fu Panda 3.

The schoolgirl was selected from thousands of entries and was picked as the winner after no more than six minutes of signing up.

As part of the competition, the 12-year-old was able to become a young reporter for Into Film for the day. She travelled down to London and met and interviewed Mr Black, his co-star Kate Hudson and two directors.

Into Film is an organisation which puts film at the heart of children and young people’s education, helping to support their academic, cultural and social development.

While on her visit Megan also got to see The Vamps and George Shelley.

Megan said: “It was a great experience and I really enjoyed it. I got to interview Jack Black and Kate Hudson and they were both really nice and friendly.

“Kate Hudson even told me about her son who is the same age as me. It was amazing.”
