AN ARMED robber threatened a shopkeeper with a gun before taking money from the till.

The raid happened at around 7am at the Nisa store on Bosworth Drive, Chelmsley Wood.

Police have only just released CCTV footage of the masked raider in a bid to track him down in the wake of the attack on April 6.

The man entered the Nisa store on Bosworth Drive just after it opened around and opened the door to access behind the counter.

He threatened the owner with what appeared to be a handgun and took a large quantity of cash.

Detective Constable Steve Phillips said: “We have trawled CCTV in the surrounding area to see which direction the offender took and to see if anyone else was involved.

“The man’s face was covered during the raid, but we believe someone may be able to recognise him from the footage.”

The offender is described as white, 5’ 10″ tall with a slim build.

He was wearing a dark hooded jacket and dark tracksuit bottoms.

Anyone with information should call DC Phillips on 101 or alternatively Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
