YOUNGSTERS wondering what to treat their father to this Sunday have had their question answered as Birmingham’s National Sea Life Centre is offering free admission to all fathers.
Guests simply need to quote the word ‘Seahorse’ at the front desk upon arrival to receive free entry on the day of their visit with a full paying guest.
Home to a large variety of incredible creatures from across the world’s oceans, the attraction is home to the parenting champion of the world – the seahorse.
Many visitors are often surprised to discover that it’s the male seahorse that gives birth to young after incubating the females eggs in a special stomach pouch for just under a month.
Even more startling is the fact that several hundred – sometimes up to a thousand – babies can be produced in a single pregnancy.
The aquarium is home to over 2,000 creatures – including sharks, a cheeky pair of otters, an intelligent and playful Octopus, critically endangered Golden Mantella tree frogs, rays, crabs and much more.
The National Sea Life Centre Birmingham transports visitors from an amazing underwater world to the coast of Britain and the chilly Antarctic, to the tropical waters of the Caribbean.
